Today a friend at the University in Bremen measured the carbon content of our soil samples. And we have achieved a doubling within one year!!!
Total carbon:
Soil sample from our field initially: 0.50%.
Soil sample one year later: 1.14%.
This is great and very important for us to prove that our core statement is true. So we are building carbon sinks! And apart of that: we increase biodiversity, save water in the soil and influence the (micro-)climate in this way. All this increases the resillience of the whole system.
Forest gardens can contribute greatly to solving many of the world's problems. Sustainable regenerative agriculture is the way to a viable future for all of us!
